On our latest weight loss boot camp, we had reason to celebrate right from the beginning. We were warmly welcomed to Cornwall by our fantastic hosts Nigel and Adele, and by the pitter-patter of twelve long-awaited, adorable baby ducklings!
Superb effort was shown throughout the week by all the ladies. There were some challenging moments for each and every person, but thanks to our dedicated physical training instructors, Staff Yardley and Staff Todd, the ladies persevered and achieved things they never thought possible! A fantastic effort – well done to all of you.
Each day on boot camp is filled with a variety of activities. This includes boxing, swimming, team games and countryside hikes, just to name a few. Many of the group had never tried any of these sports before, but by the middle of the week, were already making calls to their husbands and partners. Many a call was made to inform them that, “You must go down to the local gym and find out how many times a week they hold boxercise classes, then sign me up! Oh – and by the way – when I get back I’m making us a big batch of the most incredible granola! The chef gave us a cooking demonstration last night!”
Our chef for the week, David, did an incredible job of providing us all with well balanced, delicious and wholesome meals (as well as a range of nutritious snacks!). Everybody benefited from his wonderful cooking demonstration, and I will be making homemade healthy granola for breakfast from now on! The group also paid close attention to our nutritionist and life coach, Mary Lou, whose knowledge and expertise regarding nutrition, health and life coaching is absolutely invaluable. From all of us involved, thanks Mary Lou!
Overall, everybody left the week in Cornwall in great shape, looking stronger, fitter and healthier. Perhaps most importantly though, everyone was delighted with their achievements, well informed, and had found a new sense of enthusiasm and interest in health, fitness and well-being! Well done to you all, and we hope you enjoy the new you!
Emma,
Boot Camp Manager.
