Your Story:
I split up with my ex-boyfriend of 7 years in February this year. He left me to be with someone else. To be left alone in a flat I couldn’t afford, leaving my old, “comfy” job to start my dream job as a PA and stop looking after myself nearly destroyed me. In March I realised that I was worth more than all of that. I found a great flat closer to work, I had my dream job and I slowly started getting back to rights. I then read an article about NYBC and although completely scared I went ahead and just booked it. I did think “what the hell have you done?” after I had paid the deposit but I told my family who encouraged me to go for it. It was the boost I needed. My sister gave me an inspirational saying that became my mantra through all of this; “It’s not how well you can weather the storm but how well you can dance in the rain.” Everyone at NYBC was welcoming, supportive, encouraging, inspiring and dedicated to helping me succeed. I lost 8lbs in a whole week and I felt amazing! I won’t lie, it was tough. You are pushed to your limits but I never gave up and I amazed myself with what I could do. I never thought I could do 100 squats in one go or carry a stretcher with 20 kilo bags on with my team but I did. NYBC have turned my life around. I’m still in my dream job, I’ve stuck to my efforts to stay fit and healthy and I am dating a fantastic guy who respects me for who I am. Thank you NYBC!!
What was it that made you book on to New You Boot Camp?
I wanted to prove to myself that I could do anything if I had the right encouragement and support. I think that not thinking about booking it was also the best thing. Sometimes in life you need to just do it.
How has it changed your life?
I’ve regained my confidence and self-esteem. I never turn an opportunity down and I continually challenge myself to try new things.
Have you set yourself any targets?
To continue being a success story and perhaps do another New You Boot Camp next year.
What would you say to anyone thinking of booking on?
GO FOR IT! You will not regret it! It is daunting and scary but no-one at NYBC is judging you. They want you to succeed and you can!*
