43 years old, living in Cheltenham.
The reason I booked onto boot camp was the fact that my dad had just passed away and he was the most important and always will be the most important man in my life, and i just started to pile on the pounds and I was just getting more and more depressed, wasn’t interested in going to the gym, all I wanted to do was to stay at home, and eat and feel sorry for myself. I was getting close to a breakdown and it just wasn’t me and I knew Dad would be so angry and annoyed and thought I had to start to do something, so then I made the call! And I am so glad I did, what a fantastic week, I haven’t laughed, cried, worked so hard and been so knackered in one go! Done things which I never thought I could ever or would do. Abseiling, gorge walking, doing long walks, rolling around in sheep and horse…, its amazing what you do, when you have to. Out in all weathers, we would all moan but still would do it. The camarady was fab and friendship which have come from Bootcamp too.
It was great as nobody knew who you were, or anything about you and we were all their for the same reason, to improve our lifestyles!
And my god have I, since boot camp I have lost 4 and a half stone and have completely changed my whole outlook on life. Whereas before I would always put everyone else first, make sure they were alright, come new year eves it would be me on the phone ringing everyone, but not now I am putting myself first for a change and doing what I want to, much to some peoples annoyance, its the first time for a very long time that I am feeling good about myself! Hopefully now I will find that special person to, as I have so much more confidence, and its all down to my Boot Camp experience. I would definately recommend it to anyone, its the best thing I have ever done, for me it has been totally life changing! Just wish my Dad could see me now.*
