The sister of tragic Ben Kinsella last night urged Gordon Brown to stem Broken Britain’s rising tide of crime by sending thugs to boot camps.
Grieving Brooke Kinsella — whose brother was stabbed to death in London in June — said military-style discipline for youngsters could put a brake on further tragedies.
Brooke’s plea came as it was revealed violent crime figures have been RIGGED for years to hide the depth of the problem.
The shocking 22 per cent rise in serious violent offences was masked as a five per cent hike after acts of grievous bodily harm were classed by police as lesser assaults.
Actress Brooke, 25, who appeared in EastEnders, has spent the past week at a military-style fitness camp in Devon.
She told The Sun:Â – A few weeks of boot camp will sort out the bad kids. They won’t be thinking about going out and hurting people.
– Violent kids need to learn self-respect and discipline.
– So many kids are going to prison for petty crimes then getting let out with no direction to their lives. They don’t go back to school and can’t get a job and end up re-offending, often with violence.
“The Government could deal with this by setting up a national military-based boot camp. There would be no luxuries — it would be bunk beds and cold communal showers. They would learn discipline and routine.”
And speaking of her experience at the New You Boot Camp in Totnes, she added: When you’re on one of these things there’s no time for aggression and anger — they take it all out of you.
“You won’t end up doing stupid things like crime.”
The former soap star added: I’m glad the report about the crime figures has come out and it’s truthful for once.*
