It was a brilliant kick-start and I feel amazing. My body feels really tight and toned and I also feel so much healthier. I really underestimated how hard the weekend was going to be. I actually thought Boot camp would be like a spa!
I got off the train and was met by a guy in full military uniform who shouted my name as I walked past him. I instantly knew that I’d be in for trouble. From when I arrived we were literally exercising until we went to bed. I had to do an assault course on my own, then we did team games. I really went for it, despite the fact that it was pissing with rain and there was mud all over.
The food was lovely but very small portions, it’s made me realize my portions are too big, so I’ve cut those down. Also, I exercise at least three times a week and do a mixture of cardio and weights. I’m 32 and it’s taken me this long to realise ther’s no quick fix. I’ve tried every diet in the world including Slimming World, Slim-Fast and the Atkins. I’ve never been massively overweight, but I have struggled with my weight in the past. A short crash diet is no good as you always put on more weight!
I’m quite fit, but I wanted to lose fat, rev up my routine and get excited about exercise again, and the results were great because I got an instant boost from all the exercise. My body feels really tight and toned and I also feel so much healthier. I just concentrate on being healthy, so I’m a size 10-12 and weigh around 9½ st.*
