Ruth tried her first New You Escape fitness boot camp this February – we caught up with her and asked he about her experience.
I absolutely loved every minute of boot camp. I will definitely be going back. The week was well planned with varied classes so there was no time to get bored. One of the best experiences I have had with regard to fitness.
Some of the classes were tough, but only because I pushed myself to achieve more. I started the week with a high level of fitness so keeping up was relatively straightforward but to improve my fitness levels I pushed to another level and I struggled a little at times.
All the PTs were very professional and knew their stuff. They gave great insight to why we did certain exercises and gave tips to improve form. The sessions were planned and varied.
Paco the chef did an amazing job as the food was delicious. I never felt hungry.
Yusimi ensured everyone was ok and did a great job organising things.
The hotel was beautiful and so peaceful. The surrounding area was quiet and it was a delight to stay there. The weather was great, averaging 22 degrees every day. It was lovely to be in the sun. We even swam in the pool (although the water was a tad chilly for the time of year). I’ve never exercised in such luxury surroundings before.
I enjoyed meeting everyone including staff and other boot campers. It was very interesting talking to new people and sharing the whole experience with them.
I lost 3KG which was not my primary reason for attending but an added bonus. I have taken away some nutritional advice which I have implemented into my lifestyle. I feel better in myself both physically and mentally. For me, it was a great chance to recharge and refocus. My fitness levels have also improved which I am happy about.
Definitely give it go. You get out what you put in and if you’re looking for a fitness holiday then this is it. It’s a great way to meet people and have fun exercising.
