OMG I SO agree with this – BUT this *IS* me when it comes to losing weight!
“There’s always next Monday!” Well, I always say that, which is why Spence arranged for me to attend the New You Escapes in Spain (!) so I could RESET my mindset, and actually have the time to exercise and focus on me!!
MY RESULTS!
So after a gruelling week of intense exercise & minimal food … how did I do?!
Well here are my results and whilst the pound loss is OK, I’m MOST impressed with the changes to my body measurements!

FRIDAY 22nd NOVEMBER
Weigh in will happen shortly…..ahhhhh! Whatever happens I’ve done the most exercise I could do, eaten all they have given me … so fingers crossed!
Either way I had the best and the worst times, made some really good friends and shared special times. Been very lucky that I have had a great roomie and a fantastic group of people! Thank you New You Bootcamp … feeling totally wonderful & happy – bring on those RESULTS tomorrow!! [You’ll hear how I did on Monday after 8am!]

THURSDAY 21st NOVEMBER
Cardio first thing … more running … oh my calves hurt!!
Breakfast was yummy granola … my favourite bit of the day!! THEN Circuits then in the freezing cold even thought the sun was coming out & I was really debating the hill runs BUT the fab friends I’ve made push me and I do it just!! Then it’s rest time and lunch time!
Later it was some stretching + S&Q and then teatime & a cookery demonstration – really time for bed now!!
WEDNESDAY 20th NOVEMBER
Well we did the 3 Peaks here today – 16km walked and that’s after a cardio session first thing! By the way we still have boxing and games to go although I will miss boxing as have booked a massage!
OOPS that wasn’t planned ;–) ¦ think I deserve it though don’t you??!!!
TUESDAY 19th NOVEMBER
No walk today just lots of classes … We started the day with cardio and I was, believe it or not raring to go (that cold dip yesterday had definitely helped!) Then did circuits which was lots of fun, and battle PT which was again quite fun as we had to kick tyres, roll around on the floor and pretend to shot like a bear!! (Don’t ask we have been already been chickens and all sorts!!) Had to sneak off for a snooze at one point as I was EXHAUSTED but not without putting the effort in before!
MONDAY 18th NOVEMBER
I’m always quite surprised what the body can do, I’m currently impressed with my own to be honest, after today’s big hike my feet were killing! In fact my whole body was aching! So I braved it and took a dip in the swimming pool which was fffffrrreeezzzing! But I did (not because I’m mad, well maybe slightly!) but because apparently crazy cold water helps with aches & pains so I did it!! The we did 14km up a mountain and I was super chuffed as remember we had already done a cardio session that day too!
SUNDAY 17th NOVEMBER
Luckily we have managed to work the heating in our room (yippee!) so it is bit warmer which is better today! It’s been a freezing cold start in the dark with the alarm going off at 6.30am in the morning! …. So yeah a lie for me to what I normally get BUT not for a Sunday LOL!! At 7am-its cardio! Running to certain points and back then your next team member goes! And so on, and the plan is non stop all day long!! YIKES!
SATURDAY 16th NOVEMBER
I have arrived! It is an old monastery where we are staying which is beautiful. On arrival I was greeted with a snack, my first reaction was it can’t be that bad if they are feeding us already, can it? The snack was an apple & nuts. Good right? BUT we were just given a few slices of apple & about two nuts so I needed more! But hey I best get used to it, I thought, as I’m here for 6 nights. Then I headed to my room, to unpack and meet the others. I’m super pleased I have been put in a room with a lovely girl called Helen, and woops I’ve probably talked her head off already! In fact I have to say everyone here is lovely. I thought I’m going to make a lot of new friends but there is no time to sit & chat … as already we are instructed to do a fitness test (AKA as a beep test) I’ve never done this before, but it was actually quite good, quite fun and everyone got a little competitive! Before long it was time for dinner which was spaghetti bolognese or rather bolognese with courgette ribbons but by then I was exhausted and it was only 8pm yes that’s right Saturday night and I ended up in bed by 9pm and its very cold too would you believe!
FRIDAY 15th NOVEMBER
Ahead of Bootcamp, and I am getting SO scared and of silly things really!
I am a bit of a worrier, so I’m like what if I need the toilet when hiking up a mountain! Yes I am paranoid and I know that’s not worth worrying about, so I should leave that there! I’m also a bit concerned about what they are going to feed me ¦ more to the point hoping I will actually get fed rather than just some shake or juice – please let there be some kind of food! BUT somehow I don’t think its going to be lasagne with a glass of wine, with maybe some chips on the side!
Joking aside I am going to be good, I want to do well on this. I want a break and I want to just exercise, eat healthy and be around like minded people. So here’s to a happy, healthy and safe week that will see a new me in a week … well, a slimmer healthier version of me at least!*
