As we head in to 2012, we wanted to reflect on 2011 and thank all the New You clients that have spent time with us this year and all the staff that have worked so hard to make your New You experience. We receive lovely thank you cards, emails and phone calls from you that inspire all the staff and all of us at New You HQ to work even harder and provide you with fun and challenging life changing experiences. Since our launch in 2007, New You Escapes’ concept has really evolved. New You doesn’t fit in with the trends – we create them. With this in mind, we thought we would let you know what we have been working toward this year for your New You in 2012!
If you fancy combining your break with daily Zumba dancing, seeing what all the fuss is about with Nordic Walking, bringing your baby along to boot camp, or unwinding in a spa in the evenings, New You Escapes 2012 will have something for you! Brand new for 2012, we’re introducing new and improved New You Escapes with our brand new therapeutic nutritional programme and complete body analysis, as well as taking our camps to some amazing new luxury venues.

Experience the natural balance of body and mind through the power of exercise, diet and nature. Days are broken up into hourly sessions on site, on the beach, or in woodland. Throughout the week you will also be taken off site to enjoy hikes and mountain biking in the beautiful surroundings this area has to offer. Activities include morning sunrise runs, mountain bike riding in Mexilhoeira Grande, full day hike in the mountains of Serra de Monchique, hikes along the Algarve coast line, and water activities, to name just a few. At the end of a challenging day, relax and unwind your tired muscles at the beautiful spa on site.

Zumba combined with our high intensity military inspired workout is a great way to get fit, raise your heart rate, have fun and burn off those unwanted pounds. You don’t need to know how to dance – you just need to move your body and follow our instructor’s lead! The steps are oh-so-easy to pick up (no training needed here!), with routines that are specifically designed to shape you up, and fast! The workouts include a mixture of interval training sessions, where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt, at the same time as burning fat. And what’s more, you can dance off up to 500 calories an hour!
Alpine Boot Camp launches with the introduction of Nordic walking alongside the famous military inspired boot camp programme. Drop a dress size in one week from £1,275pp.
Nordic walking is one of the most effective cardiovascular and fat burning exercises there is (burning twice the amount of calories than walking or jogging). Mimicking the movements of cross-country skiing, it utilises ninety percent of the body’s muscles, offering clients a low impact alternative form of exercise that is great for muscle toning and weight loss. Combining the low intensity training of Nordic walking with the high intensity boot camp programme is the ideal combination when it comes to burning fat and increasing your fitness levels. Located in the Austrian Alps, situated within the picturesque village of Wagrain, the new Alpine Fitness Camp is the perfect getaway for those who want both a fitness retreat and a magical alpine activity adventure.
Developed to balance the fitness needs of new mums with their desire to spend time with their baby.
New You Escapes will be offering small private After Baby Residential Boot Camps where mums can bring their babies with them, get fit, and eat well in a safe environment. Babies must be over twelve months old and groups will be limited to ten mums. Designed to help mums regain or enhance pre-pregnancy fitness levels, and meet the physical challenges of parenting by emphasising strength training in a supportive environment. Sessions will include strength-training exercises with cardiovascular drills, Pilates, yoga and abdominal exercises to help improve core strength. Pram workouts, resistance tubes and even your child are used as an integral part of the workout. After Baby Boot Camp, we will also include nutrition for both mum and baby. This boot camp has been developed by a pre and postnatal nutrition and fitness expert.
Life coaching techniques are used to help clients break old habits and make new ones, enabling clients to tackle unconscious behaviour that can sabotage them from reaching their weight loss and fitness goals. This provides an effective way to initiate real change forever. Life coaching is also used to help clients focus on other goals in their lives, or areas where they would like to see improvements, such as their career, relationships, etc.
We wanted to offer our clients more. With this in mind, our nutritionists have developed our exclusive new therapeutic nutritional programme – only available to New You Escapes customers – that targets every day problems. This includes factors such as stress, sleep deprivation, metabolism, blood sugar balance, digestion, thyroid problems and any food allergies that were identified as areas that require further support for clients facing difficulties in losing weight.
Clients are asked to do our exclusive New You Escapes home DIY tests at all our coastal and boutique boot camp properties, which helps our nutrition squad to identify which areas need to be addressed for each individual client. The DIY tests cover the potential presence of candida, or imbalance of good gut bacteria, potential for insufficient stomach (hydrochloric) acid, and a temperature test to check thyroid, adrenals and immunity function. The tests are designed to identify areas that require further support for clients facing difficulties in losing weight.
Staff trainers work on goal setting and training that clients can do at home. This is done for each individual to make sure that everyone either continues to lose weight, or maintains and keeps up their fitness levels once they have left. A New You Escapes diet and lifestyle plan is devised by the New You Escapes nutrition squad. Personal one-to-ones are organised with one of the New You Escapes nutrition squad at all of our boutique, coastal and Portugal properties.
We now provide a complete body analysis to enable the team to provide you with real, honest advice and education on how to lose weight (not water!), how to keep it off, and how to get maximum results once you return home. Try not to be fooled by rapid weight loss camps and retreats. They will make it appear that you are losing weight, but what is most likely going on is a reduction in water weight and muscle mass. The only way to be sure you are losing what you actually want to lose – the fat – is to be have your body analysed and broken down into its constituents – water, fat, muscle and minerals. At New You Escapes we know that true, long term weight loss is fat loss. We give you the opportunity to use one of the most advanced body analysis devices, we train you in productive, time saving fat loss workouts, we provide fat loss nutrition without starving or any feeling of hunger, and we give you all the tools to take away with you to continue your journey at home!
Our wonderful New You Escapes chefs will take you through some fabulous healthy recipes so you can see how easy it can be for you to make delicious healthy meals. The cookery demonstrations will also include question and answer sessions, allowing you to ask any questions that you may have with regards to tricks of the trade. Clients are encouraged to come armed with all their culinary questions!
We also offer our clients support with life coaches, nutritionists, our award winning PTIs, both on site, and for up to a year after their stay with us. They get followed up to see how they are getting on one month on, three months on, six months on, and one year on. We also offer them the opportunity to contact head office at any time for additional support. It may be to have their food diary analysed if they have reached a plateau, or it may be contacting us for an advanced training programme or weekly weigh ins and mentoring. Even after your boot camp, we’re still here to help you continue your journey!
