With the Christmas season on its way, out comes the LBD (Little Black Dress) and party frocks. At this time of year, body confidence is a must, otherwise it is a dark hibernation period filled with tins of celebrations. So we at New You thought we would suggest a few exercises in time for this social period.
1) Legs
At New You we believe hikes to be a great form of exercise for our clients. Did you know that  according to the daily mail  (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1347777/How-rid-cellulite-Thin-thighs-30-days-exercise-tips.html) with the right pace and route, walking can burn off more than 300 calories an hour?  Find a local route around your area. Once you get in to the routine of a daily walk in the morning or evening you will begin to crave it. It is great for toning those thighs, and fantastic for improving your mood! Remember quicken that pace to quicken those results.  Your legs will beg to be shown off by December!
2) Bum
Many people seem to think that getting the perfect derriere is a far of dream, but it is very achievable! Get some high pace music on and get started. Good Housekeeping suggests beginning with 15 repetitions of each exercise, two times per week, then increase to three.
Exercises such as the backward lunge are really effective for toning. Step backward with left leg, keeping heel off floor. Bend both knees until right thigh is parallel to floor and left thigh is perpendicular to it. Pause, then return to starting position.
Stay with it, and you’ll see results in just a month. The exercises are listed on http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/health/fitness/butt-exercises-apr01#slide-6 and are great for primary exercises to get you in to a fitness routine.
3) Tummy
Feel like you are one step ahead of new years? Start your resolution early! No time like the present especially when it comes to gaining toned abs. At boot camp we recommend bicycle abs. Lie face up on the floor and lace your fingers behind your neck without pulling on it. Bring your knees in towards your chest and lift your shoulder blades of the ground without pulling on your neck. Straighten your right leg out while simultaneously turning your upper body to the left, bringing your right elbow towards your left knee. Switch sides, bringing your left elbow towards your right knee. Repeat for 60 seconds.
